Capturing the Moment

Happy halloween! (Yesterday) ^_^

OMG I just realized it was at least a gazillion light years ago since I posted here. (err- maybe a tad exaggerated but you get my point! ^_^) So anyway, I’ll just fill you in now. Point is, not much to fill you in on…

Well to my happiness I have holidays now! Bad thing is that I have Chemistry test on Monday we come back, Tuesday Physics test, and Wednesday Biology test. That means I have to study in the holiday. Boohoo! :(

While talking about “Boohoo”, it was halloween yesterday! I didn’t do anything actually… :( But you know what I didn’t know that in this little Spanish village of mine that they knew of halloween, so guess how taken aback I was when a group of noisy kids banged on my door. Very is the answer! I’m glad I still had some chocolate in the house (That is sooo unusual…)! ^_^

And so I am going through (yet again) a Lord of the Rings phase. I don’t know how, but I am so if I have time I will take 3 and a bit hours to watch the final movie – yes I’ve already gone through the first two. LOL! If I remember correctly it’s my favourite LOTR movie, but it was sooo long ago since I saw it so I might be mistaken… Anyway, what do you think?

I’m really happy as I thought that you couldn’t watch The OC season 3 on youtube for some wierd reason, but apparantly you can! Yippee! I have been waiting too long! But I will still get it on DVD. ^_^

Not anything else to say, I don’t think… Well goodbye and goodnight! LOL!

Ramble no. 2

As promised I’ve got ramble no. 2 ready for today. Well you can’t call it organized but I’ll start anyway!:

I’ve had a facination spurt for Lucy Liu’s character in Kill Bill, and also the will to watch d movie again. The thing is I’m a bit scared… It’s so bloody bloody! I will see it once again in my life, I have to! I finally found the anime bit from vol. 1 of the movies and saw it: my God how they exaggerate the blood spurting! The drawing is really good however, especially the eyes, and my God how clever to incorporate it! Big congratualations to the director, he’s definetly worth it! ;D

I want to change my website layout again. I think it’s too “plain”. I want something with more attitude. I’ll see how much time I have to look that idea over. However I really need to do something about this layout. I’m thinking maybe something darker in tones?? I love the Gemma Ward Burberry photo, so I might use that we’ll see…

I’m a bit excited because D.Grey-man has just come out as an anime. Of course in japanese but of course youtube has a fansub! (Did you know Google has bought youtube fro 1300 million euros or something like that? Probably Google couldn’t stand the rivalry. LOL!) I think there is only one episode out right now but what do I know? I’m just a wierdo fan! ^_^
My first impression is that I prefer the manga. LOL!

I saw Naruto movie 2 today. It was ok, but the first one was better. Gaara was badly draawn I think, + didn’t do much. How DARE they underappreiciate Gaara’s important role like that! I’m extremely upset! Gaara deserves better treatment! At least his brother Kankuro was really good. I’m starting to really like that guy. There is an especially funny bit with Naruto clinging onto Kankuro over water. Gotta see and love it! LOL!
When talking about Naruto I’ve stopped watching the anime as I’m sick of those fillers. I might go onto wikipedia and look at what arcs there are and choose those that I want to see, but I doubt I have motivation to go those lengths… I know I’m that tired…!

Err– is there anything I missed? Of course there is! But I can’t think of them right now so it’ll just have to wait until another post! ;)

Ramble no. 1

Well wasn’t it a while ago? Anyway a lot has happened so I’m just going to ramble a bit today and continue the ramble tomorrow. Well Ramble number one starts…NOW! :

I hate when stupid school has to give loads of homework which forces me to give up my free time, but what I hate more is the pressure to study all the time for these damn GCSEs! Teachers keep on repeating over and over the importance of studying every single second of your life. Anyway, I keep telling myself I should at least start revising for these half-termly tests we’re getting soon, but I never do. Makes me feel very bad and guilty…

Well I have posted that poem I was talking about before here. Please tell me what you think.
I’m sooo happy because my deviant page has gotten more than 100 page views! WHOOP! YIPPEE!

I am putting pressure on myself to keep on drawing on my comic, as I have loads of ideas, but I never manage to actually do it. Maybe I should stop writing here and start drawing? You know what I’ll do just that!

Oh my! What great adventures!

So… Well I guess you could say a lot has happened in the recent days, but it actually feels like nothing. I wonder what that means… Maybe I’m just getting spoilt with adventure. Yeah right, and I was born in the South Pole while wearing a tutu…!

You’re probably wondering what I’m going on about, well first of all on Thursday my English teacher hands out this leaflet to the class about an international poetry contest. Every looks at it as if it was a retards snotty handkerchief. Very nice. I’m like the only one intrested, so of course over the weekend I write the poem. I’m not going to post it here, I’m going to let my teacher take a look at it first then post it on my deviantart. Well my dads first comment on it was him asking me if I was happy, or if something was making me upset. HELLO! A lot of things make me upset but not actual depression! He thought it very dramatic to use the word “death” four times in a poem. My God… He doesn’t know anything about modern poetry i.e. songs.

I’ll update you on what happens with that.
On Friday my English teacher was away so a girl from the 12th grade covered. Well we had a descussion about how unfair the school is for this year making the 12th grade wear uniform (all the other years they didn’t) becasue last year grade 12 came looking like tramps. The stupid thing is that last years grade 12s i.e. this year grade 13s, aren’t wearing uniform because “its no point for them to buy a uniform for only one year”. BULLSHIT! They should have to buy the unifrom as a punishment for misusing the priviledge of having non-uniform! Thanks to them, the innocent grade 12s this year have to continue suffering and next year I have to suffer! (Yes, thats right I’m in year 11) Urgh! Stupid-headmaster-that-doesn’t-understand-anything!

So, most my frustration goes to that **** subject. ^_^
Then, the good news. My dad may somehow get us to London during the half-term. Yippee! You know what? I really would like to go and visit the London School of Fashion as it is my dream to go to the university and study the business management of fashion. You think I could? I would sooooooo like to! *_* Do you think my dream is out of reach? Hey if you guys are in that uni. or knows someone that is, please tell me, because that would be the greatest insight in the world for me! CONTACT ME BY COMMENTING THIS POST!

Oh yes, I have found many fun videos for you guys to enjoy:

The cutest toy in the world, that I have on my x-mas wishlist already.
LOTR best parody ever!
When I’ll find anymore I’ll post them here.
I’ve also got great layout plans for both this blog and the actual homepage. So that’s good.
I’ve also got so many art projects its amazing, but you know all art news I post on my deviant
So that’s about it… I think… I know I’ve forgotten half the amount of “adventures” that I claim to have gone on, but oh well…! Well I don’t have to cram everything into one post. (Even though it seems like I have…)
Buh byes my friends, well at least for now,
Ollie

Present Obsessions

So, yeah, I’m obsessed with a few things right now.
Number:
1. My Chemical Romance – I had heard of them before because some guys in my class had been talking about them, plus I had seen some Sims 2 made movies with the two songs I downloaded yesterday. (“I’m Not Ok (I promise)” and “Helena”) Well anyway now I can’t get enough of those two songs! I’m listening to them all the time, especially “I’m Not Ok” (My Fav.!)! Well I saw that they are coming out with a new album soon, but Gerad has dyed his hair blonde! My God what a hottie! (But in a not-so-obvious way, if you know what I mean! ^_^)

I downloaded the new version of iTunes i.e. version 7. DON’T DO THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME! The update makes the songs hiccup! It’s terrible, I found out a way to be able to have a decent playback (don’t ask me how I did it, it took me ages!) So wait until apple has fixed the bug, otherwise the layouts very cool now.

2. “Deja Vu” by Beyonce – yeah it’s her new single but I can’t get enough of it. She looks like a total retard in the video when dancing around like she was on fire, but the song is sooo catchy. And I don’t consider myself a Beyonce fan, but anyway…

3. D.Grey-Man – It’s a manga, that isn’t the most famous thing around but it should be as it’s really good! I love how the artist refers to real-life countries around the globe such as India and Italy. The protagonist (Allan Walker) is sooo CUTE, so that makes it so much better, no?

4. The video of Ok Go’s single … – It’s soooo good! It’s a dance on loads of treadmills, it looks so pro! I can’t stop watching it! Check it out here!

5. Writing – I’m writing this fan-fiction of Naruto called “Akemi”, which you can find on my deviant. (Which I’m also obsessed with! LOL!) So basically I write whenevr I have the time. So, check it out will ya?!

Don’t ask me why I’m obsessed with so many things, I personally blame the hormones! LOL!

Keds Philosophical Inspiration – Right?

My sister bought the newest teen vogue today, and of course I had to go snatch it away to read it. Well anyway it was the one with Micha Barton on it. It was – of course – coincidence (NOT! It’s in every single issue of Teen Vogue!) that one of her ads from Keds was in it. I just have to point out that I love those “cool” sayings. I have one on my msn right now. It’s : “Cool isn’t on the map. You can’t ask for directions.” Luv it! XD
On the ad in the mag (hey it almost rhymes! No? ok I’m just plain weird then…) it said “The world is your canvas; and look, it’s an enormous canvas.” That I have to say is so simple but so wonderfully simple, don’t you agree?
Well I then went onto Keds.com and found this add with Micha Barton (yes, I am an OC addict so yes, I am a Micha Barton fan) :

HERE
I love this vid, it’s so philosophical in a cool way you know…! ^_^

My First Day of School
September 7, 2006, 8:21 pm

My God what a boring day! Well yes today was my first day back in school, and it didn’t seem much different than last year, except that the teachers seem more organized and have tougher work waiting for us. I myself is panicing here. I have only two terms of hard work to prepare myself for nine GCSEs, and the teachers (at least the homeroom tutor) keeps on reminding us how hard and demanding this year is, and oh-so-very important too…! Give us a break we just arrived!

Well since I live so far from school my dad has to drive us to school, and wake us up at six…!! Well I thought it would be completly hopeless as I’m used to wake up at ten plus I go to bed far too late for school times. The thing is today my alarm went off, and I just shot up with energy! It was unbelieveable! My dad thought he was dreaming! I even made porridge (my new found breakfast love) for me and my sister! I even had time to do that! Plus I finished getting ready a half an hour before we had to leave, so I could relax with a book before school which was nice, but very ironic as I had a little knot of nervousness in my stomach. Well the knot soon was released… Anyway today was very boring.

Well I will stop boring you with my boring tale of my boring first day of school,

Arrivederci,

Ollie

“WOW”-ing “reviews”…
September 4, 2006, 8:02 pm

Well yesterday I went out with a very good friend of mine to the cinema and saw the film “Poseidon”. I really recommend going and seeing it. You can say it’s a modern version of “Titanic” but in this case the cruiser gets hit by a tsunami wave. Compared to “Titanic”, there isn’t that much romance but much more action and adventure. For me I was on high alert all the time (well not in the begining but after the disaster struck of course) but then again I’m a bit clostrophobic and – like the rest of the normal people in the world – think it’s uncofortable to be on the verge of suffocation. Overall I thought it was a great movie.
This night I finished a book I was reading called “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read – and believe me I’ve read A LOT! As you might think, indeed the author is Spanish and the book is original in Spanish, however I read it in English, which I guess is wierd as I live in Spain… but hey! The language is quite advanced as it often is in novels, and my Spanish isn’t that good (what am I saying?! It’s crap. Period.) Back to the point, for those that like Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and Demons”, you better locate a copy of “The Shadow of the Wind” and start reading right away! ^_^

I guess this entry was reviews, but I haven’t got much more too say… Oh yeah! My order from Amazon.co.uk arrived! Yippie! I got the books: “Lirael” and “Abhorsen” by Garth Nix, “Faeries Landing volume 3.” (a manga) by You Hyun and “The Last of the Wilds” by Trudi Canavan. All books I’m dying to start reading. (Well the manga I’ve already finished…! =P)

P.S. I’ve only got 2 days of summer holidays… WAHHHHH! X’(

A New layout – Way to Go!

Have you noticed that berriesandpalms has changed its look? I think its better than the last one (DOH! Otherwise I wouldnt put it up!) but still I’m not the happiest girl in the world… ^_^ Anyway its up there now, and will stay there for some time as school starts next week… the 7th to be precise… ARGGHHHH! I DONT WANNA GO!!! boo hoo… I’m dreading this year as I’m starting year 11. You know what that means? I’m doing my GCSEs this year… OH NO! …boo hoo… Well last year I did English Second Language which was easy so it was good to know I passed it with an A*…! Woot! Then I did Maths Core also where I got a C, which was very good as the highest you can get is a C (you can only get higher grades if you do extended). Anywho, Im very happy with last years results… I don’t really know why I’m writing about last year when year 11 – aka. GCSE nightmare (WAH!) – is right around the corner… its too near, it might even affect my last week of freedom (i.e. I’ll freak out so much I won’t be able to enjoy the last week…)
Stupid victorians inventing school… >:(

So, this is new…

After looking around for a good method of having a blog on my site, I found this. It’s very straight forward and… – I like it simply! ^_^ But but, I’ve only just set it up so we’ll get a proper evaluation after I’ve tested it for a while. Whatever the case I’m completely certain this system is better than the manual one I had before! (I get a headache of even thinking about it…XS!)

So arrivederci for now!
